2. Sit the tests you need
Some countries need an entrance exam (JEE, Gaokao, EXANI-II), some need an aptitude test (SAT, GRE, GMAT), and most need a language test (IELTS, TOEFL, TestDaF, JLPT).
3. Prepare documents
Transcripts, certificates, passport, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, CV, portfolio if required, and certified translations.
4. Apply through the right portal
Many countries use a central platform: UCAS (UK), Common App (US), uni-assist (Germany), Studielink (Netherlands), UAC (Australia), SISU (Brazil), CUET/CSAB (India).
5. Apply for funding at the same time
Most large scholarships close months before the course starts, and many need an admission letter or an application number.
6. Accept, pay and apply for the visa
Accept the offer, pay the deposit or tuition, arrange proof of funds and insurance, then book the student visa appointment.
